REVIEW: Coastal Scents 10 Blush Palette & Update!

I'm SO sorry that I haven't posted anything in a while. My life has been hectic:

Hailey's 1st birthday was last Wednesday and her birthday party was yesterday, so my past couple of weeks has been pretty busy. Between doing all of that and working with my photography business, I've had my head wrapped around just about everything and everyone.

I have had the chance to use my Coastal Scents 10 Blush palette during this whole busy two weeks.

Okay, so I've been using this for a good little while, so I feel pretty comfortable reviewing this. I have used about half of these on my face, but have swatched them all, so I know about how the consistancy is and how the texture feels on my skin.

You can get the Coastal Scents one from www.CoastalScents.com, there are also other companies who sell this as well. And you can also find MANY of these palettes from Ebay from various different wholesellers in Hong Kong and other different places. You'll just have to Google, lol.

I do believe that half of them are matte and the other half is shimmery. The shimmer shades are more pigmented, I will say and last longer than the matte shades. Well, they do for me anyways. The matte ones, of course, are a little chalky and kinda go on a little patchy. Whenever I was swatching them on my arm for the photo you see, I had to blend them a little bit more to get the color to look right. So it does take some work, but what do you expect from a palette of 10 blush shades for the cost of what? 15 or 20 bucks? Yeah.

I really like it even though the ones that I use the most are needed to be worked with to look right. It is a very handy palette for "On-the-go" because it's a good size palette and it doesn't take up a lot of space. It even fits in the bottom part of my train case and it's not that huge.

It's definitely worth the price and would be great for "On-the-go" people and/or makeup artists.

YES! My Coastal Scents 10 blush palette got here today from the lovely MUA'er that swapped with me. I haven't used it yet, but it looks fantastic and the swatches were gorgeous.

I have been SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO busy here lately that I completely lost track of everything that I have been doing....if that makes any sense. My photography business is starting to take off, so thank you God :D I done two photoshoots yesterday and I've been working like crazy on editing and getting all of those ready for the clients and I have another session this Friday :D I'm not complaining, I'm absolutely loving it. It's something that I love doing and other people are seeing that as well, so I will continue to do so :)

I JUST got over being sick (I know, what a cold, right?). I honestly do not think that I had a cold, it was more of my allergies and sinuses. My skin, mostly my face and neck is completely broke out with some kind of rash, I'm not sure what it is. I think it's the pollen here...the count has been INSANELY high here...like..10.74 and higher. So, you could only imagine how bad it is for me seeing as my allergies are TERRIBLEEEE.

But anyways....makeup related crap:

I am expecting one of my many Coastal Scents lemmings!!! :D
The 10 blush palette is on it's way to my house....I may receive it around Thursday or Friday...most likely. I'm receiving it in a swap from a WONDERFUL MUA'er. She asked for a NYX blush and some cash to ship it. I almost cried, lol.
I'm also expecting another one of the palettes from CS from ANOTHER MUA'er. The Blush & Contour palette....oh yes. They don't want anything from my list, but they just ask for $10 for the palette and shipping.......HECK YES. If I had the 28 neutral palette and the 10 (?) concealer palette, I'll be doing good.
Yes, I added the concealer palette to my lemming list of Coastal Scents, lol.

OHHHH!!! I have to mention that I got one of the Camo Quads from CS a few days ago, so I'll more than likely be doing a review of that :)

I should be posting a lot of reviews once I get a time to actually use the products that I want to review. I'll be posting a list of things that I plan on reviewing within the next month or few weeks, but at least you'll know to expect them.

Besides that, my daughter's 1st birthday is coming up in September. I'm so excited, but sad at the same time. I can't believe that she's already that old...I'll probably cry, lol. So saving money is a must for this next month, so no makeup...and possibly no swapping............. :O dearly do I say it, lol.

Welp, I've been wanting to do some tutorials, but this past week me and Hailey have been sick with a cold and it's seriously kicking our asses, so I haven't had the chance to do any. I was looking at celebrity inspired looks and so far, I've only come up with a couple of Katy Perry looks and a Angelina Jolie look that would be great for "Back to School". Whenever I start feeling better I'll be cracking down on these.

Here are the pictures that I plan to go by and I'll possibly be doing Angelina's makeup from the movie, Wanted. She had a gorgeous smokey eye and the rest of her face was very clean and some nude lips. Like most of her makeup, it's very natural and she usually isn't wearing anything besides neutral shades and nude lips. Which I admire because she always looks amazing :)
Katy Perry has such flawless skin and she's usually wearing the complete opposite of Angelina. She's worn anything from greens, pinks, yellows and neutrals like Angie. She looks good in just about anything and I SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO wish that I had her skin, it's gorgeous!

So, if you have any other things that you would like me to do whenever I start feeling better just leave a link to a picture or just tell me what it is and I'll try to do them :)

Sorry I haven't been updating this as much as I've wanted to. Things have been quite crazy here lately and my blogspot has been crying for attention. On the bright side, my stash is growing mercifully. I have all of my things in a large traincase right now and my brushes along with other things that I use everyday are in a nifty little organizer that I think I posted in a previous post....not very sure. So since I've never posted a full throttle post of my stash....here it be:

Sorry about the blurry-ness of this picture, I was in a hurry and my flash didn't...well....flash, lol. The whole train case extends from my bathtub all the way to the sink whenever it's fully opened, as you can see.

Middle: I have my Sonia Kashuk concealer palette, extra lippies in the yellow bag, pigment samples in the box, face powders and bigger packaged things.

My brushes, foundation, mascaras, eyeliners, lipliners, other random lipglosses and lipsticks that I use on a daily basis that I don't want to dig through my train case to get, lol. On the right is my mark. mist opportunity spray that I use to apply pigments wet and to spot clean my brushes. In front of that, Avon hand cream as well as a light moisturizer to mix with my foundation. Smart? I dunno, but it works for my Revlon Colorstay, lol. In the box includes samples that I plan to use, hairbows, lipbalm and other misc. things.

The whole collection in its' pride and glory. :D

I would love more of the L'Oreal "HIP" line because from the duos that I've tried and I really like the paints, I am dying to use the lip jelly and cream liners..but just never have any money to buy them and swappers from MUA are too stingy to swap with me, lol. But I can't say much about MUA because they are the reason my abundance of stash-ness. I really love MUA, ya'll should definitely check it out :) www.makeupalley.com If you're more of a clean freak, this may not be the site for you, but there are people on the site that are exactly like you...so it's not all that bad.

But once again, my stash is growing and I can't wait until it gets even MORE large so I can complain and end up getting my own vanity to put it all and I'll have my own makeup station, lol. But ahhh, I'm good with my stash right now. It's just the right size and I actually use everything, even though there are quite a few things that I'm still LEMMING LIKE SOOOO BADDDD.

Wanting WAY too many things...

So I've heard quite a few bad things about Coastal Scents here lately and I just want to know why. There are a couple of YouTube gurus that I watch that refuse to buy anything from CS because of, from what I can understand, their return policy and a few other things. I am saving up so I can purge on makeup, IF and WHEN I can save money, lol. But right now, the purpose of this post, I am lemming quite a few palettes and other minor items (which I am not listing) from the CS website.

I'm not really LEMMING the shadow blush palette as much as I am the other three. I would probably kill for the 10 blush palette.....no lie.

So I have been going all over Makeupalley trying to swap with someone for ANY of these palettes, mostly the 28 Neutral and 10 Blush Palettes, but I'll take any of them. I WANT SO MANY THINGS. I don't really have a lot of money right now (as usual), so therefore....I am going to try to start an actual "Makeup Fund" lol.

I just stopped making youtube videos today :( BUT, I am still going to continue to do my work here on blogspot because (1) I have a great camera that takes pictures so YAYYYYYYYYYY TUTORIALS!!! And you guys can have better views of my hauls and the things that I get! So wooooooooooooo! and (2!) I just haven't felt too motivated to do any videos and really haven't had the time nor the patience to constantly do over my videos because of Hailey, lol.

I still want to thank everyone on youtube for their support and all of my subscribers that have been watching my videos.

I will be working on something soon, so don't hesitate! :)

Random Haulage: Coastal Scents, MUA, etc.

I made my first purchase to Coastal Scents last weekend and I've already gotten it! I ordered last Saturday and got it yesterday. And what amazes me the most is that I chose the cheapest form of shipping and it got here in less than a week, HELL to the YES. I didn't take any pictures because Hailey was throwing a hissy-fit at the moment of trying to get swatches of what I DO have and other misc. pic-a-tures. I'll post a picture from the coastal scents website then. I got the Mini Italian Badger Travel set...or something like that....okay, this is it:

Now, from the picture, the two face brushes look a good descent size, right? Well, to me they did anyways. BUTTTTTTT, it does have in the name "Mini", but I knew this. I figured that they were small, but not so small that an ant would be able to put makeup on with them. Well, let me just say that the biggest face brush (the biggest brush of them all, really), is less than the size of my hand and I have really small hands. Although, they are really soft, they are really small. So they would be really great for travel. It comes with a total face/powder, blush, angled eyeliner, "spoolie", eyeshadow, crease and what I think is a lip and/or concealer brush. I haven't used any of the face brushes, but I have used the eyeliner and "spoolie" brush. The eyeliner brush works very well, and that was the first time ever using an angled eyeliner brush (I'm behind, I know). I'll probably post a large review over the whole set after I've used them for a while.

With my purchase, I also got two packs of The Brush Guards. I got the Variety Pack (1 large "kabuki" guard, 2 medium powder guards, 2 small blush guards and 1 ex. small eyeliner/eyeshadow brush guards) and I got the Blush Guard pack (which includes 8 of the small blush guards). The ex. small ones are REALLY tiny, so they are ideal for smaller eyeshadow brushes and concealer/small pricision brushes, like the ones from elf. Honestly, you really don't need guards for those types of brushes because the hairs are so short and small, they don't hug onto them to keep their shape....sooo yeah. The small blush guards are made more for smaller blush brushes and the average sized eyeshadow brushes. At least, that's what I use them for. You have to keep working with the guards to see which ones will fit your brushes, it all varies. The medium sized one (powder) is very "iffy" because it doesn't always fit your powder brushes. It's actually a little loose on my powder brush, but fits perfectly on my Coastal Scents buffer brush (one brush that I bought, along with a black crease brush and the black eyeshadow brush). The large kabuki brush guard is the biggest that they own and I actually haven't used it to see if it would fit on MY kabuki brush, but it's too big for my other bigger brushes, so I'm guessing that it's only for a kabuki or a REALLY BIG powder brush, lol.

As far as how these do their job, it's okay. I washed my brushes yesterday around 6pm, put the brush guards on them, turned them upside down and put them in a clear cup. If you've watched Michelle Phan's video on these you know what I'm doing. I checked them after a few hours, I'll say 8:30-9:00pm and there was MAYBE one or two eye brushes dry. The others were still soaking wet and it was starting to piss me off. So, I waited a few more hours and I checked them again around 12am, and the brushes from my CS set were dry, but the face brushes were still a little damp, but nothing drastic enough that I can't put them away. So the only brushes that were left were my elf face brushes and my CS buffer brush. My buffer brush was dry until 9am this morning and my elf brushes...those bastards STILL aren't dry and it's been almost 24 hours....WHAT THE HECK MANNNN?? I don't know, if anyone has used these let me know if you had the same results.

And if you are a "Trubie" like I am, you know EXACTLY what I mean whenever I ask that question. True Blood, a FREAKIN FANTASTIC show that airs on HBO, is premiering it's third season tonight at 9pm. I don't have cable so I have to find a version of it online later on tonight or tomorrow, but I can definitely wait. It's been WAYYY too long since this show has been on and I just can't wait!!!

So many awesome things are suppose to be happening this season and from all of the previews and other little clips that I've seen, it's going to be vewy intewesting :D lol.

I've been playing these games on Facebook here lately (lol), that I've completely forgot about my blogger D: And right now, I am on the move for the ever-so-loved NewYorkColor Blushable Creme Sticks LIKE EFFIN' CRAZEH. I've found them in my town, but not the ones that I would like. ANDDDD, they are $4 freakin bucks. I was told that they were around $2.50 or, at the most, $3. NOT HERE.

If you don't know what I'm talking about, here they be:

I am in dire need of Pink Flash, which is one of the LE shades and I want a couple of the regular line ones. Here, in Kentucky, these suckers are around $4 a MOTHER FREAKIN' PIECE. I am so aggravated, like...I seriously want these and I can't get them at a descent price, or they don't the LE one that I want around here. THE ONLY place that I have seen with LE ones is Rite-Aid and I was on my way there last night and the MOMENT that I got there, they were closing. JUST HAD closed. SO PISSED.

I will rave about these one day, mark my words.

Update on this post!
My hubby came home yesterday and told me that he found something in the mailbox and pulled the Plaza Pink stick out of this pocket; I was so excited! He was like, "Is that the Limited Edition one that you were wanting?" I looked at him and said, "No, but this is one of the other ones that I was wanting". I thanked him and he kept pulling things out of his pocket; keys, receipts and other miscellaneous papers. Then he pulled out the LE Pink Flash stick out of his pocket as well and started laughing whenever he saw my face, lol. I thanked him vigorously and gave him my praises, haha.

It was really sweet that he ran all over Rite-Aid to get me these because he knew how much I had been wanting them. He said that women in the store kept on looking at him and it made him feel weird, lol.

But I love him for so :)

She's growing like a weed: Part II

In my last post, Hailey had just gotten her first tooth and she had been sitting up on her own and all of that lovely junk. Well, about a week later, up sprouted another tooth and now has two little baby teeth that make her even more cute than what she already is, lol. She has been scooting all over the house and she's now starting to crawl a little more in between each scoot every single day. She's also trying to stand up on her own. She pulls herself up (or at least tries to) with the couch, loveseat, chair, tables, my legs, etc. She's also been, which cracks me up, sitting on her butt and she will just bounce up and down like she's trying to stand up really fast, lol. It's so cute because she will swing her arms around like she's trying to grab onto something....she's definitely a site to see, lol.

I'm not sure if I posted this or not, but Hailey finally has a tooth! :D Well...she's had a tooth for a little over a week now, but that's beside the point. She looks so adorable with it AND the other one right beside it coming through as well. I can't wait for the other one to come though....I'll just want to pinch her cheeks off even MORE than I do now, lol.

Oh c'mon.....you know you want to, lol.
You can't really see her tooth because of the glare from her slobber AND that was the very first day that her tooth came through.

On the other hand...she's been trying to crawl, VERY WELL I might add. She's getting up on her knees and rocking back and forth and then leaping forward. It's rather cute :) SHE ALSO, just today, has been pulling herself up on the couch and coffee tables. Not too much, but she's still trying. Almost standing up...but she fell right on her butt, lol. She's too cute. ANNDDDDD she's been saying da-da a lot here lately and randomly will say momma :) I SWEAR TO GOD that she said Hailey this morning, lol.

She is also sitting up all on her own. I'M SO PROUD TO BE HER MOMMA! :D

The only thing I'm missin' is a black guitar

GAHHHHHHHHHHHHHH, it's been WAY too long since I had a post. Hence, my posting :D lol.

My little Hailey belle had her 6 months shots last week and she has done SO WELL since then. The last time that she got shot, about 2 months ago, her right leg was swollen bruised and was "knot-ish". I felt so bad for my baby girl. But she hasn't felt bad at alllll, so I'm pretty excited about that.

I've gotten SOSOSOSOSO many things from MakeupAlley since I've last posted and I'll have to take pictures and talk ALLL about them really soon. It excites me everyday going to the mailbox, hoping that I'll have something new everyday. YOU HAVE NO IDEA, lol. Being a stay-at-home mother to a 6 month old baby does things like that to you, lol.

Especially when your husband's job sucks big rump and there's nothing to do about it and I can't get a job because I refuse to let someone else raise my child like most parents do. SORRY, won't do for me. I, and my husband, will be the only people raising my little girl.

SPEAKING OF THAT.....OMG. I've had the worst trouble ever talking to people from SC about my school loan. I've been meaning to call them and try to figure up how much I could pay per month, but it seems like that would've done no good in my case. I asked them then and $75 is the lowest that you can pay/month. I was like, "WHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAT?" No freakin way dude! We just started paying on my husband school loans and he's been out of college for like...3-4 years????? And I haven't even been out of college a year and they're calling me. WTF is UPPPP? I don't get it. They were very rude to me though, is my WHOLE point.

I was trying to explain to the lady that I CANNOT go to work and I don't plan on it anytime soon. I am a stay at home mother to my 6 month old daughter and I AM going to take care of her. NO, there is not someone that I can just drop her off with, that is STUPID and not like me to do to my little girl. I can't just go to work anytime that I please, if I could WOMAN, I WOULD. But you know what? Life sucks sometimes and right now, is my time. Don't call me back again asking me the same questions that you've been asking me for the past week when all I am telling you is the SAME DAMN ANSWER. NO, I HAVE NO MONEY AND EVEN IF I DID, YOU'RE NOT GETTING ANY OF IT..........................................at least not right now. I have better things to do with my money, like....PAY MY BILLS, feed my family, put gas in my car so my husband can go to work and MAKE that money to pay our bills.

Isn't that just sad? My husband goes to work everyday to earn income to PAY BILLS. We're lucky to have anything left over sometimes. Like this week.....it's terrible. We had to ask a couple of companies that we pay our bills to if we could pay half now and half next week whenever we got paid again. SO SAD to me...because we still don't have any money =|

OH WELL.

YOU SHOULD MOST DEFINITELY check out Rihanna's "Rockstar"...I've come addicted to that song. It's rather awesome.

I was SUPER excited because it was a brand of makeup that I hadn't tried before and it was SUPER cheap. I was TRYING to post up pictures of what I got and the differences between the shades on the website and the ACTUAL shade that it is.

Anywho, here's a list of what I got and the shade that I got it in:

1) Concealer brush
2)Defining Eye brush (I think)
3) Eyeshadow brush

I'll just go by sections as far as descriptions and ratings for muah. These brushes are great. I used all three of them today and they are so soft and are useful for so MANY things. I used the concealer brush with the All Over Color Stick that I bought, which you will see in a minute, the eyeshadow brush for DUH, you know, lol, and I used the defining eye brush for blending and putting the eye shadows in my crease. Great brushes for the price, they were only a freakin dollar! HECK YEAH!

4,5,6,7,8,9) (In order) Mineral eye shadow "Golden", Studio single eye shadow in "Saddle", Mineral eye shadow in "Caffeinated", Studio single eye shadows in Butter Cream, and Coffee Bean. Also, I got a Eye shadow Duo in Butter Pecan.

These eye shadows are amazing, despite the fact that the colors were a HUGE disappointment whenever I got them. Especially the Mineral E/S (<--Eye shadow), OMG, they didn't even look like the same color at all as they show on the website. Whenever I get my stupid pictures uploaded, I will dedicate a post to that...comparing the swatches. The color that you get from them are SO much darker than it is on the site...I was just overall bummed because they weren't the same, BUT! They are super gorgeous, none-the-less. They are really pigmented and look extremely good on my skin...as far as swatches go.

Now the Studio E/S were not that bad, they were actually pretty precise as far as color goes. They are just a little darker in person and on the skin that on the E.L.F. site. But overall, I love these E/S, most definitely. :D

Uhm, the butter pecan....I'm not so sure about because the colors do not have that much pigmentation and they are kinda....bland. But I haven't tried it yet, so don't hold me to that opinion, lol.

10, 11, 12, 13, 14) (All in order): All Over Color Stick in "Spotlight", Waterproof Eyeliner Pen in "Black", Concealer in "Ivory", Studio Bronzer in "Golden Bronzer", and Natural Radiance Blush in "Glow" (I think that's the name of it)

I'll just start in order that I have them listed.
I do really love the All Over Color Stick. The color is very sheer, but can be used as a shimmery highlight. It's kind of....ahh.... flaky? So you may need to use a concealer brush, it works SO much better that using your finger or just rubbing in directly on your skin. But the color compared to the swatches were right, pretty much no difference, so I would tell you to go right ahead and get as many as you want because MINE was true to it's color, but...ahh, I guess you can do that, lol. I don't know, but I think I'm wanting a couple more of these. :)

I. LOVE. THIS. EYELINER. It's so bold and very precise, I just love it. I've worn it since.....4:45-5:00pm. It is now 1:23am and it is still on my face wearing strong. Best eyeliner ever.

There are a couple of things that I could say about the concealer stick.

More good than bad.
One, I really like that it does cover my blemishes and most redness, don't expect too much from something that you just paid 3 bucks for, so yeah. I'll give it that. I love that it's a stick and not a liquid in a stinking bottle, lol.

BUT I have to complain. It may have just been MY stick, but I was using it, and I think it had been the 3rd or 4th time using it on my face, and the stick....just fell out of the tube. I'm like...........WHAT? It wasn't broken or anything, but it just fell out like it hadn't even been attached to the bottom of the tube. Makes me really mad that I just got it TODAY and I have to be careful when using a concealer stick. BOO TO THAT. But overall, I like it. It's an average concealer stick and it's probably the best that you can get for three bucks, I think. IF, it's not broke, lol.

The bronzer, OMG what can I say? It is SO gorgeous. Very true to the color swatches on the website (SHOCKER) and gorgeous on my skin tone. LOVE IT. VERY pigmented and quite shimmery, but I guess a bronzer is suppose to be, so ahh, no complaints there. I would most definitely be buying you one, if I were you. A LOTLOTLOT of people have been raving over these bronzers and there is a reason.

The blush, it's pretty average. It's EXTREMELY pigmented beyond belief. I seriously have to tap the brush off to get excess off. The color is slightly true to the swatches on the website. More dark than anything. This color...what is it? Glow? It's REALLY pretty, but I'm not sure if I'm going to like it or not....it's kinda on the extreme pink side. And extreme pinks are just not up in my alley. It's not the greatest blush in the world, but yet again, I did pay 1 buck for it, sooooooo YAH. It's worth trying at least, I don't really like it...but it just may end up being on MUA people....SO LOOK FOR IT. :D My name on Makeupalley.com is photographsNwhite08, btw, lol.

I also received a gift from them for referring 3 friends. It's a lipgloss tin thingy in Melon Mayhem. It's a G-O-R-G-E-O-U-S color, but I just won't wear it. It's kinda glittery and it's a little too pinkish for my lips, so I probably will not wear it. So it's definitely going on MUA, if any of you are interested :)

Anyway, that is my E.L.F. haul that I got today. I got other stuffies, but I just don't feel like going through anymore details tonight. I'm so tired and wore out. I went to a two year old's birthday party and even though I didn't do anything, I'm just wore out, lol.

I guess whenever I have nothing to write about yet, it shall be a Quick Postage For the Day.

So.....yeah..here it goes:

1. I've been, not necessarily sick, but I guess...under the weather? lol. My throat has been killing me and it constantly feels like something is caught in the back of my throat. I thought that I was getting better, but it popped back up today :/ BOO SICKNESS.

2. Hailey's also been sick. BOO :( She's felt so bad and she'll cry and cry and cry because of it. But she's better now :D I'm so happy.

3. ALSOOOOOOOO, my E.L.F. makeup that I mentioned in my last post and all kinds of other stuffies will probably be coming tomorrow! I'm very excited, as you could possibly tell. There MIGHT be a post tomorrow with all of my stuff, or it might be a week from now...it depends on how busy I am, lol. I have to go pay bills tomorrow, so YEAH for me...hahhahahhahaNOT.

4. Speaking of bills, I got my electric bill today and it was almost 200 freakin dollars. As opposed to it being $120. The past few months, it has been getting higher and higher and it's starting to piss me off. Because we have been getting more broke, broke and broke, lol. I'm going there tomorrow to demand a GOOD answer to this "rising" of my electric bill, lol.

5. I'm addicted to watching hauls and stuff and things on Youtube about makeup and such. Yes, I know......I'm lame, lol.

Ahhhhh..................I'm out of things to say. I'm sure whenever I get my stuffies, I'll have PUHHH-LENTY to talk about.

Hey all,

we finally got our money problem fixed with Wal-mart that I mentioned in the "What I've Settled For" post. David had to call the bank that was connected with MasterCard and by the time that they got it fixed, the person that David was talking to said that the authorization hold was going to expire the next day. WHICH in turn, pissed me off, but at the same time, tickled me death. It pissed me off so much because we had to wait OVER a month just to get our money put back on the card, UGH.

*NOTE* DO NOT EVER BUY ANYTHING "PRICEY" ON WALMART.COM. IT IS SO NOT WORTH IT AT ALL. D:

Anyway, we have our money back and I have been on a makeup kick all week long; actually for the past two or three weeks. And I have been watching reviews, hauls, tutorials, all that jazz about makeup on YouTube. Hey, those people are quite helpful, they know their shit, lol. And I was watching one from Lolamarie7, and she was showing some things that she got from E.L.F. (eyeslipsface) and most of the things were really cheap, and I do mean cheap! I decided to go onto the website and I ended up picking out SO many things that I would like to have for myself, lol. I filled up my shopping cart, you could say. Lolamarie7 also mentioned something about this website called Retailmenot.com and it helped me tremendously. You can go on there and type in your store of choice and they will list some online coupons that you can use. There was one for 50% off of my whole purchase, so needless to say, I used that one, lol. I bought SOSOSO many things, I think my total items were 14? And the total was $20.95, shipping was $6.95, I do believe and the rest was my makeup. If I like this makeup as much as everyone says that they do, I will most definitely be going back there. I mean, the most that I paid for one item, without the coupon, was $3. You cannot beat that! Besides going to the dollar store and they actually do have some really pigmented makeup....I have some (L.A. Colors, I do believe is the brand) =).

After I paid for my stuff, they have a thing on the side that I could refer 3 friends and a get a free gift. So, I was like....Oh cool! And it actually worked, shockingly enough. I got one of those candy shop lip tins...I think the color is Berry pop...or something. I'm not a big fan of pink lip gloss, so I'll probably be swapping that on makeupalley. <---You should check that out too, it's AWESOME.

I will have a post on my stuffies from E.L.F. whenever I get it. I'm so excited! I've some that coming, a Maybelline Dream Matte Mousse Blush in Peach.....something another (It's not Peach Satin, but it looks kinda like it...anyway) I've got that, and a lip gloss palette from Mark. from Ebay. YEYS!

Here lately, I have been getting into my make-up and my little necklaces, trinkets and things and it makes me feel all girly inside to think of all the things that I really want but I REALLY can't have because most of the things are out of my price range and we are still waiting on FREAKING WALMART to give me back the $630 that I tried spending at their online store. ASSHOLES. Anyway, here are a few things that I have been wanting to try, but cannot afford...OR, I just don't have the money for right now.

Part of MAC's Electroflash Collection (Which is BTW, GONE) in Play on Plums. I have heard SOSOSOSOSOSO! many things about the eyeshadow, most of them are good...but there are some that was very displeasing to me and I found the reviewers points very helpful. Like the first negative one that I watched was saying that it left a lot of excess of "shimmer" under her eyes and she had to constantly brush it away. I cannot stand that in ANY kind of make-up, so that was a real bummer. She also said that it was very sheer, more like a shimmer than an eyeshadow so...it really has bummed me pretty bad. But! I'm still wanting to try it even though there are some negatives about the product. But! I am NOTNOTNOT spending $30 on eyeshadow. Kiss my ass until you die MAC, lol. So, if anyone would love to buy it for me, feel free, lol. OR! If you have it and don't like it, I'll be more than happy to take it off of your hands FOR EXTREMELY CHEAP. Sorry, if it's been used that knocks off a good $15, in my eyes, lol.

I seriously LOVELOVELOVE this ring! I would love it even more if it were in a yellow, red, or a sage type of color or just a pretty green. I would buy it but, sorry AE, I am not paying $16 for a fake ring, bite me. (I know, I'm cheap).

Things I am looking for:

Someone needs to seriously help me. I need a good foundation that will last a very long time that isn't extremely liquid-y, lol. I really like mousse and powder foundations, but then again that's all I've ever used because it's all that I can afford. But, as I said, I really like them. My skin is kinda light, but I have sort of a natural tan. So, my skin tone is pretty normal, like a natural beige type of deal, lol. I also need a good blush. I have been using the same thing of blush for.....God only knows how long and I really need some new blush.

I need opinions and suggestions on ALL of these things, but I am in dire wanting of these things, lol....CHEAPLY.

On the other hand:!

I have been watching reviews on make-up today on youtube and I found this girl that I absolutely adore! I started watching her and I was like, SUBSCRIBE! Definitely, most deffff., you should subscribe to her videos because this chick, she knows her stuff. Whether it be make-up or hair, she's on that shit, lol. Her name is lolamarie7 and I believe that she is quite hilarious and helpful beyond belief. I spent the majority of my day watching almost all of her videos and I can't wait for her to post another one.

I thank God everyday for the people that I still have here with me. And I thank God that my daughter is going to have the chance to get to know so many great people, with the exception of one; Clarence Keith.

My papaw passed away on Saturday, February 13th

My world will never be the same. And it seriously hasn't. He was quite the man and everyone who knew him thought the world of him and/or more. I just wish that Hailey could have gotten to know him like I did. She would have loved him to death. I regret not being able to go and visit him these past couple of weeks because of the snow. I regret not taking Hailey down to my granny's house before he got sent to the nursing home to be taken care of. The first and last time that they met was on Christmas Eve. She won't remember it and he wouldn't have either, but I will for the rest of my life.

I regret not going to see you papaw. I miss you like you missed sitting outside on the porch watching the cars go by across the road.

You're in a better place now and I can't wait to meet you again someday

The Case of the In-Law

David's parents are divorced and have been for a long time now. We are leaving this evening to South Carolina to visit with his dad and step mom for a few days. I'm really dreading this trip down there. I ALWAYS get sick, which I get car sick very easily, soooo yeah. I bought some Dramamine so maybe it won't be as bad...maybe I'll pass out and sleep the whole way :D lol.

This will be Hailey's first out-of-state trip and it's kinda making me nervous that she will get sick and/or freak the eff out. Crap, I gave her a bath somewhere different in my sister's house yesterday and she SCREAMED the whole time. My sister lives right in front of me, need I remind you. So, that's kind of got me worried that she's not going to like being somewhere "different" like that.
Just pray that she'll be good and possibly love it, k?

New Bakings: MUFFINS!

These were merely going to be just some regular muffins with some cinnamon and walnuts, nothing complex. The more I started to fix them, my mind began to wander off into other things I could do to these muffins.

I baked them and they turned out DELICIOUS!
I ended up naming them, Cinnamon and Walnut Cream Cheese Muffins.

Recipe!:

Ingredients:

Batter:
3 cups of flour
1/2 cup of crisco
1 1/2 cups of sugar
3 eggs
1 cup of milk
1 tsp of vanilla
2 1/2 tbsp. of cinnamon
1 1/2 tbsp. of nutmeg

Topping:
1 1/2 cups of brown sugar
1/2 to 1 cup of walnuts
1/2 cup of melted butter

Filling:
8oz of cream cheese
4 tbsp. of soft butter
1 tsp. of vanilla
2 tsp. of lemon juice
1 cup of walnuts (optional, but can use for on top)

You will need:
A cupcake/muffin pan
cupcake cups

Directions!:

Mix together all of the batter ingredients, dry ingredients first, then liquid. Mix until mostly smooth. This batter will have some lumps in it because of the Crisco, but not too much. Put cups in the pan. After mixing the batter, pour batter into the cups until they are a little over halfway full. There is a possibility that you'll have batter leftover. You can either make more muffins or make a small cake with all the same ingredients and same instructions. In the meantime, preheat your oven to 300-350 degrees, depending on your oven, this could be different. Stir together your topping ingredients, NOT including the walnuts. After mixing up, drizzle over muffin batter in the cups and sprinkle desired amount of walnuts on top of the muffins. Place in oven and let bake for about 20-25 minutes OR until they are done/golden brown on top. You may have to check the inside with a toothpick before getting out of the oven.

While they are baking you should make the filling and/or topping for your muffins.

This filling will be a little chunky, it's not completely smooth. Leave out the walnuts on the side, these will be used on the top, if you want them on there. I didn't because of others' wants as far as the muffins go. But I put some on there whenever I've went to eat one :).

After pulling muffins out of the oven, let them cool for about 20-30 minutes.
After cooling, you'll need a knife to cut a square or a circle out of the middle of your muffins. DO NOT cut all the way down to the bottom of the muffin, this would result in the filling coming out of the bottom of the muffin.

You can do with the cut-outs with what you wish, I just simply ate them with some filling as I went. It was delish! :D

Take your filling with a spoon or if you have a syringe or something like that, you can fill your muffins up. Then sprinkle with walnuts if you like.

Refrigerate for 3-4 hours for the filling to set better.

My Highly Anticipated Wait

Oh thank you Jesus that it's finally here!
Well, actually, I got it on Wednesday but my laptop is retarded and didn't want to recognize my camera. Today was the day for success! YEAH!

Awesomeness in a bag. :D

Holding my camera PERFECTLY, as you can see :D

There's even a spot for people "on the go" who want to use an (optional) shoulder strap so you can just throw it over you shoulder and be gone! Lol.

I have to say that it is rather small. But I actually found it to be bigger than what I expected. It holds my camera with the lens still on it, usb cord, caps, a wallet for my SD cards, and it can hold more, I just don't much more to put in there, lol. I find it perfect for me, my Sony A230 and all of my accessories to fit inside. And it truly looks amazing! I got the package and I was so excited that I threw the box up in the air and caught it again without even looking to see if it were my camera bag, lol. I opened up the box and I fell in love with it all over again. The red color of the bag is gorgeous; real deep and has a bit of a sparkle to it. The dual zipper is very handy and it Velcros shut so it stays pretty snug in there.

The ONLY, and I do mean the only, thing that I can complain about is that it's a tad flimsy for a camera bag. Before I put my camera into the bag, I was just holding it, looking inside and just inspecting the bag in general when I noticed that it wasn't as strong and sturdy as I had imagined. BUT! The more I inspected the bag, the more I learned. The inside padding, including the zipper is padded, EXTREMELY well, I might add. I placed my camera inside of it, zipped it up and it is VERY secure. So, my worries were over, lol. The handles and the white lining on the outside of the bag, isn't exactly white. It's more like a pearl color, but I'm not complaining about it. It just gives it more of an older feeling to it, just in case you were wondering.

Overall, I love this bag. And I'm so happy that I made the decision to buy it. Even though I had to wait two weeks to receive it, it was well worth the wait. I would recommend ANY DSLR owner to buy this bag. IF! All you were carrying is the camera w/ lens and smaller accessories. DSLR owners with extended flash and other accessories should take their business elsewhere with bigger bags. OH! Photojojo has a bag for people who have many more items called the SLR Sloop. You may or may not want to buy it, but it's just a thought, :)

Just a little updating here on randomness and life:

1. Just when I thought that rain is the only weather to make you drowsy throughout the day, our one foot of snow came and changed my mind completely.

2. For the past week and a half, I have woke up to the sun RISING. I mean, literally, coming over the hills, peeping tom, through the cracks of my blinds in the morning, sun rising because of Hailey. For some reason, she doesn't seem to want to sleep past 9 in the mornings. And it's seriously taking it's toll on my energy while I'm here at the house, which is every single day. I have to literally FORCE myself to clean and that's pretty bad for me. I can't stand it if my house is even remotely CLOSE to being dirty or unorganized. For once, I want the snow to go away because of such. Maybe I can get some things done around the house this week?

3. Making attempts at trying to "spice" up peanut butter cookies is a big no-no.

4. I got asked how big my "ding-dong" was on www.Formspring.me ......Yes, I'm being serious.

5. No, I do not have a ding-dong.

6. I have been waiting all day long for my Bad-Ass Bowler Bag to get here and it never showed up. It got stuck in Lexington and I probably won't get it until tomorrow. BUMMER. But hey, I'll get it tomorrow, right? Hopefully......Thank you Photojojo!

Yep, this is it.

My Dilemma:

Shopping for a Canon Xsi, or even the Xs, is nearly impossibly impossible when you're shopping in stores. I was buying mine from walmart.com because they had a very wide selection of canon DSLR's. I placed my order on the 22nd of this month, which was on a Friday? I think? Anyway, I bought the camera on Friday and come Sunday, I received an email from Walmart's customer service saying that my order had been cancelled. WTF? I automatically emailed them asking why my order had been cancelled and it took two or three emails JUST for them to tell me why it was cancelled. The closest that I had gotten to any answer was that my credit card information did not pass any/all of the security regulations or whatever. I checked my credit card information TWICE and it was all CORRECT. I sent them an email asking when I was receiving my refund and it had better be soon. I got an email after THAT saying that my credit card was never charged (when it clearly was for around $640.00) and that it was only placed under an authorization hold and that it should be released within 72 hours. It's been a week, and I have YET to see my money back on that credit card. Needless to say, I am rightly pissed and dissatisfied with the way Walmart.com's customer service has neglected to "actually" help me. They even told me in one of the emails that Note: For the security and privacy of all of our customers, we are unable to provide the exact reason for this cancellation.". That is complete and utter BULLSHIT. And they want me to buy another one??? Oh, HELLLLL no. I took my business elsewhere and bought a different camera.

INSTEAD! I bought a Sony (Alpha) A230 DSLR camera. *as seen above*
So far, it's turned out to be a great camera. I would love to buy a Macro lens for it, but they are far too expensive and I don't exactly have the extra money for it. I haven't figured all of the functions out yet, but I will eventually. That booger is quite the complicated toy and my brain is not that, ahhhhh, capable of comprehending that vast of a camera just yet, lol. I'm working on it though. The quality of the pictures that I have taken, to me, are incredible compared to what I'm use to. Someone will probably look at them and say, "Oh geez, how 'wonderful' those are" and then laugh at me as they point their fingers and walk away with their "better" cameras.....or something like that, lol.
I, quite frankly, do not give two shits about what other people think. I love it and unless it decides to go all Pbbbbt! on me, then I'm keeping it. I bought being very anxious of how it would work because I've never worked with Sony products before, as far as cameras go. But it's definitely worth it and it was much cheaper than the Canon, go figure.

I received my lens case a few days ago and my lens fits in it perfectly. I haven't used the lens cleaning kit yet, but I will within these new couple of weeks. I'll let you know how THAT adventure goes, lol. I'm still waiting on my Bad-Ass Bowler Camera Bag though, it should be here either tomorrow or Tuesday. I'll post on Tuesday or Wednesday with pictures and such :) If it comes tomorrow, the post WILL BE tomorrow, lol. I'll be that excited.

Lesson for this week? Never shop at www.Walmart.com. They suck and if you're order gets cancelled hopefully it's not a big purchase like mine was or your money will be gone.....LIKE MINE. If I don't see it within the next day or two, I'm calling their asses and I'll just be another customer getting ready to cuss them O-W-T. Yes, I just spelled "out" like that, lol.

I posted last that I was buying a new camera. TRUE, that I am. Instead of me buying the Canon Rebel Xs SLR, I am getting the Canon Rebel Xsi. It's pretty much the same model but the mega pixels are higher and the LCD screen is bigger...THAT I KNOW OF. I'm sure the lens works better with that camera, but I could most definitely be wrong, ya know? But anyway...I bought it yesterday along with 3 other things.

I've read a lot of reviews on it saying that it's rather small for their cameras and a lens. But then I got to looking and these people were not mentioning that they already had a lens attached to their cameras :| I figured it out soon enough that it would be perfect for my Canon Rebel Xsi :) It's quite possibly the cutest and most awesome camera bag that I've ever seen, oh yeah and by the way....that is the real name for the bag. I'm not just pullin' your leg, lol.

Yeah, you know that I had to buy one of these. If I don't, I'll be bankrupt in NO TIME, lol.

I bought an inexpensive Memory Card wallet today. I think it was about $5, maybe? It's suppose to hold 22 SD memory cards. I told David about it and he was like, "Why did you get that? You only one memory card." *Sigh* For later on dear, later on, lol.

I bought everything yesterday and today, so it's going to be a good week or two before I actually receive all of my camera gear. All I can do now is wait.................and wait and wait and wait WAITWAITWAITWAITWAITTTT. (I hate waiting as you can tell) I'm seriously extremely excited, you'll definitely know when I get my camera because it will be a BIG post, lol.

Anybody know anything else that I should "need" as far as being a beginner with SLR cameras. This is the first time ever handling one, so wish me luck! :-D

Well, Me and David got our taxes back and we are treating ourselves to something that we both have been dying to have for a very long time.

I, on the other hand, have been wanting one of these for an extremely long time and it's about time that I have one.

Canon Rebel XS DSLR Camera. I am extremely excited for the simple fact that the one that I am getting comes with a lens. Lenses are rather on the expensive side, as you could imagine. David is buying himself another PS3, but this one is a 250GB. His other was a 80GB and it died and we haven't had the money, nor the time, to get it fixed. He's been tired of waiting on people to get it fixed for him so he's just going to buy one. He deserves it and I don't care how much it costs, just as long as it makes him happy.

BUT, I CANNOT wait until I get this camera. I've always owned a compact camera and I not a SLR. Photography is one of my favorite things to occupy my time with besides singing and I haven't done that in a very long time. This may just be my boost that I need to start on my Photography career/life. If I ever get to go to college without going bankrupt, I just may do so.

MLK, Jr. Day is not going well for me.

I didn't get to sleep in as long as I would have liked to, but having children puts that type of a burden on you. Hailey is teething terribly today; I mean, she's BEEN teething for over two months now, but it's getting to the point that she's not crying anymore. It's SCREAMING; endless, makes-your-ears-bleed screaming. On top of that, she's been throwing up. Almost like projectile vomiting; I feel so bad for my baby girl :( She's sleeping right now, how else would I be sitting here writing this?

I made a pathetic attmept at making peanut butter balls; once again, PATHETIC. I got the recipe by google and it took me to another link ----> http://www.grouprecipes.com/59759/peanut-butter-balls.html. Granted, I didn't use the exact ingredient for the dipping of the peanut butter balls. It says to use chocolate flavored confectioners' coating; I just used semi-sweet chocolate chips instead. Nothing went right with this recipe. The peanut butter mixture never has set correctly, it's still....mushy. But it tastes fantastic! lol. My chocolate chips, for some reason, were parched after I melted them. Seriously, it burned a hole through the bowl that I melting the chocolate in, I was shocked beyond belief, lol. I tried making them anyways; the chocolate set pretty good, but you can taste where its burned and the peanut butter STILL hasn't set right and it's been 4 or 5 hours since I've made those stupid things. I think I'm just gonna let my granny stick with making those whenever I get cravings, I FAIL. xD

I cannot believe that Hailey will be 4 months old on the 15th. I seems like it was just a week ago that I had her; it's crazy! Too bad I know how it's going to be as she gets older seeing as I've been around small children all my life. I just know that of quotes will be longer, elaborate, and with more explanation marks. But on the other hand, she can do cute things.....she just likes to do them when I'm in the worst mood ever and when someone else walks into the room. Pretty much to prove me wrong on her being whiney, crying, etc. That's about the way it goes though right?

She makes me so proud to be her mommy. She's doing really good at trying to sit up. She will sit straight up for about five seconds and she will either fall over to her left side, or she will lean forwards, still sitting up. She's learned how to grab onto things for about two weeks now, maybe longer...not real sure. If she's hungry enough when I am bringing the bottle to her face se will hold her hands out with her mouth gaping open....she's ready by God, lol. I love my little Hailey Belle :)

I got my Kirra Cameron Bag in the mail today and just as I thought, it is amazingly HUGE, lol. BUT! That's only if you lay it flat out on a surface. I laid it across the edge of my coffee table and it's the same length as the end of the table. I opened up the package and bursted out in laughter because of its size. Well, it is completely white outside and STILL freakin snowing. They are giving 100% chance of snow, so.......what do you think? I'm quite positive that David will be snowed in tomorrow from work.

ANYWAY.

I was experimenting with some paint and Top Coat nail polish earlier to see if the feeling is different on my fingernails.

STORY:

I hate having my fingernails painting. I've always thought it had this, "clammy" feeling on my fingertips and made me feel all dry and crap. So, I just never paint them. But I got the sudden urge a few days ago to start wanting to paint my nails, WTF?

Back to blog...

I bought some nail polish today! :D --> N.Y.C. (In a new york color minute) in Madison Avenue [it's a red, that's all you need to know], Sally Hansen Hard Nails Extreme Wear in Mellow Yellow [Do I need to say it?], and N.Y.C. Extra Shiny Top Coat. All of these were under $4.00. I think the Sally Hansen was $1.99, and both N.Y.C. were $0.99 at Walmart.

I love the way that the Madison Avenue looks on my nails when it's done right, lol. I haven't tested out the Mellow Yellow yet, but I'll get to that. Here's a photo of my nails today, you can judge, but I'll just tell you...I am NOT good at painting fingernails, regardless of how much of an artist I am, lol.

My left hand: My better painted hand, lol. That swirly thing is Apple Barrel Color Acrylic paint in King's Gold.

My right hand: My dominant hand when writing, painting and such. You can very much tell that I am not ambidextrous at all, lol.

I have no story to tell about how my "wild" New Years party went because there wasn't any. I was unaware of when the clock hit 12:00 a.m. I happened to glance at the clock because I was wasting my time away with Sims 3 (no wasting there; it was pure joy), and it read 12:07. I looked at David and said, "So yeah, Happy New Year.....seven minutes ago". He jumps up, looks at the clock and goes, "OH YEAH! Happy New Year!" lol.

ANYWAY.

I was in the process of posting this last night as my "New Year" post, but Hailey has been fighting sleep like NO MOTHER FREAKIN' OTHER and the post had to be stopped immediately to tend to her. :)

I, on the day of the new year, decided to be quite productive and get a few things done. Hailey's room has been disastrous due to the fact that David's dad & stepmom AND sister & boyfriend came over for Christmas. Let's just say that anything and everything got thrown into her room, in her crib, and/or in the corner of the room; it was terrible. I spent two days cleaning that bad boy.

Back to the purpose of mentioning her room....

I had most of my acrylic paints and other random art supplies in the top of Hailey's closet. So, I decided it was time for a major, and I do mean MAJOR, re-organization and "throwing away" of my paints. I ended up throwing away and giant Kmart bag full ofbooger-filled paints, old paintbrushes that are NO good and serve me no purpose in life and other random art supplies that are crusted, broke and/or I don't use anymore.

I discovered on this wide journey through art, that I really need a new way of using my oil paints. And by that I mean, I need some different thing as a palette for my oil paints. I think I've used like, (3?) all up in a year and I don't think that you're suppose to use that many. It came to my attention that I had one of those lines of tubes that little kids get whenever they paint.

those little containers there! Except they are all connected and have snap on lids; you people have to know what I am talking about. If you don't, OH WELL.

I found out that I had one of these and I put one of each color in the containers and spelled out, "OIL PAINT" on the tops of the lids. So far, it has kept the paint very fresh and the only part that has dried out is the ring around the top of the lid, THAT'S IT! I just figured that I would let another soul out there know that, you don't have to go out there and buy an expensive palette to put your paint on, you can use one of these little children's container thingy and get to use your paint SO much longer! Trust me, it's worked for my acrylic paint, I'm sure it will for my oils.

ON THE OTHER HAND! :D

Don't tell me not to fly, I simply got to. If someone takes a spill it's me and not you. Who told you were allowed to rain on my parade....! If you can't tell, I got Glee: The Music-Volume 2 for Christmas. :D

OH! I got my coat for Christmas too! The puffer jacket that I spoke of in my previous post called, "All I want for Christmas is..."....ahh, you'll find it, lol. Well, it's the puffer jacket from Aeropostale and I love it!!! It's so warm and cozy and it's soooo pretty! :D ANDDD!!! I got the perfect chance to buy Sims 3 off of the Walmart website for only $30.00!!! I was so excited! BUT! The bad thing is, I can't play it on my laptop because, of what I think, is the RAM. For Vista, it takes 1.5GB of RAM for The Sims 3 and my laptop only has 1GB of RAM. But it could possibly be the video card. I truly have no idea.

Any ideas?

Snow sucks, but doesn't

I'm going to blog about how worried I am about David.

It's snowing....really freakin hard as a matter of fact. I think the snowflakes are like the size of actual snowballs, lol. They are giving us 90% chance of snow...so yeah, we've got us a good 'ol snow right now.
Anyway,
David is working in this snow; he drives all over the place, B.F.E (if you don't know what BFE is, I shouldn't tell you, lol), from one end of town to the other, pretty much anywhere you can think of. He's a delivery guy for a furniture store and they pretty much don't give a rat's ass what you do or what happens to you just as long as you get the job done.....BASTARDS.

So yeah, I'm worried b/c our car...probably doesn't do too good in the snow; I'm quite sure of it.

David, get home safely my dear. I'll be sitting here with Hailey nervously eating these things that look and taste like cow tails, but aren't cow tails, like crazy until you get home.:)

I cannot believe that Christmas is ten days away; it absolutely blows my friggin' mind to pieces.

Seeing as I've been planning on this for WEEKS, me and David finally decided to make our salt-dough ornaments for the tree and it a week and a half from Christmas Day, lol.

If you don't know the recipe, here art thou is:

2 cups ALL PURPOSE FLOUR
1 cup salt
1 cup water

Pretty dang simple actually. Just make sure that you have a little bit of extra flour for your counter, table, or whatever you decide to make them on AND to sprinkle on the dough as you knead it.

Directions!
(this is how I done it anyway....)

Mix flour, salt and water and knead with hands until dough forms a ball. It's going to be sticky, by the way, HENCE, the extra flour. Once you can start rolling the dough into, sorta, a ball without it sticking to your hands like glue then you can sprinkle flour onto your surface of choice and start rolling it up 'n things until it's sticky no more.

After that, you can either use a rolling pin or, like I used, a coffee cup, to flatten the dough and use cookie cutters OR! Be more creative, like me, and make your own little ornaments. Place on cookie sheet and bake at 325 degrees or 350, whatever floats your boat. The thicker the ornament, the longer it will take to bake. It can take up to 1-2 hours to bake, depending on thickness.

After baking, let them cool. And you can decorate them as you please. Paint, glitter, buttons...whatever! I prefer just to paint them, it's been a tradition for years to make them for our Christmas tree and me and David decided, we should have some too.

Here are our ornaments that we made; don't laugh. We're not the best there was, at least I don't think so even though David likes to think that he is the next Van Gogh.

Descriptions!
(In order of appearance)

PIC1- I made and painted this one. I meant to paint while clouds on the "J", but I just never got the chance to because Hailey woke up and I forgot all about it.

PIC2- David's little Christmas tree. I asked him why he painted all the ornaments orange and his response was, "Some of them are lights".

PIC3- There's a funny story to this one and photos 7&8. This is the cookie (details in PIC8).

PIC4- My little quilt! My mom made a quilt for her tree many years ago and I thought that I would make one of my own. It has my name and "2009" in the bottom.

PIC5- Whether or not it looks like it, it's a bow. I was making it and David asked me, "Oh! Is that that one guy from Space Ghost?" I was like, "NO! It's a bow!" We lol'ed a LOTLOTLOT.

PIC6- Hailey's little retarded handprint. Because of the way the ornaments baked, this one was my biggest dissapointment. I had to paint it because you couldn't tell that her handprint was even there. So after it was done baking...I had to make it look LIKE it's her handprint. The only problem was her index and middle finger; they look a little, "mmrrrrr", lol. But all in all, ornament says, "Hailey, 2009".

PIC7- David's glass of milk (refer to next photo).

PIC8- Okay, this is a full picture of both the cookie and glass of milk. David said that he wanted to make a glass of milk and a cookie for Santa. So he cut that shape out and said, "Here's my glass of milk" Then he rolled out some dough and took a coffee cup to circle out a biscuit like piece of dough and said, "Here's my cookie". I didn't ask questions because I had already asked way too many about his other ornaments. I baked them. We got to painting and he grabbed a big paintbrush and white paint and painted the "glass of milk" white and left the "cookie" as-is. I asked him why he didn't paint any chocolate chips on it, at least. All he said was that it is a sugar cookie. I LOL'ED.

PIC9- David's candy cane. This is where he told me that I wished that I could paint like him.

PIC10- God bless it. It's David's; that's all I'm going to say. LOL!

PIC11- I made and designed this ornament (yes, that's what it is), but I had David paint it (he chose the colors, NOT ME) because I was feeding Hailey and we wanted to get it done already. The colors....kinda..blind you if you look at the for too long, lol.

PIC12- I LOVE MY LITTLE PRESENT! I thought it was so cute, and I love that "Leaf Green" color on the present, cuteness!

PIC13- David is very proud of his snowman. He thought it was the best ever, besides his baby Jesus (no pictures yet, sorry...I actually forgot until RIGHT THEN, lol). I painted "David, 2009" on the bottom, he painted the rest.

All of these were painted with Acrylic paints. Pretty much the best kind of paint for salt-dough ornaments, ever.

On the other hand,

Hailey laughed yesterday, OUTLOUD!!!!! :) It was BY FAR, the cutest thing I have ever heard/seen her do. I cried because it was so cute and funny. I was sticking out my tongue and making farting noises at her....she must've thought it to be the funniest thing in the world, lol.

I've had a terrible past few days, FYI

1. We scheduled an appointment with Olan Mills yesterday for Hailey.

Good thing is, the package was only $15.00.
Bad thing is, the package consisted of 1-8x10, 1-5x7, and 8 wallets
Bummer right?

ANOTHER bad thing is the woman told us that there would be MUCH more in the package. Come to find out whenever we got home that it was MUCH less. Quite frankly, I was pissed and am still pissed because it's non-refundable and I already cancelled the appointment. So I=FAIL.

BOO.

2. Hailey woke up at 11pm yesterday SCUUUreaming her lungs out. She was sick :( Her nose is stuffy and she kept coughing and stuff. Took her to the doctor today and was told that her lungs were fine, so it's just her sinuses. Squirted some Saline Nasal Spray up her nose and it was pretty clear afterwards, by God, she didn't like it. Bless her widdle heart :(

I have been on a mission of finding a fantastic tree shirt for the past week and NOWHERE I have been has any that I really like or can afford. Fortunately, I found one today for $20 at Walmart...of all places.

Me and David finally done some real work on our Christmas shopping today.
It was all the kids in my family though.
My little twin brothers, my neice and nephew and little cousin.
All in all, we spend about $140.00...I just about died whenever the price rang up, no freakin doubt.

I just got to get David's Christmas present sent off and paid for and I WILL BE DONE. Praise Jesus, lol. This is our first year in our own place, and PLUS it's Hailey's first Christmas, so I want to make it a good one. Although we were unsuccessful on finding a star/angel to go on the top of our tree.
At the moment, we have this tacky scrunched up silver bow on the top of our tree, lol.

Just a quick post while my daughter was sleeping, but now...she's awake seeing as David just got choked on a cordial cherry.

*coughing*

Me: David! Go get you something to drink before you wake her up!
David: *coughing even harder*
Me: GO ON! She's waking up

Homestyle Peppermint Mocha Coffee...YUM!

I am obviously on a food and drink kick this week, but ahhhhh, who cares?

I am in some dire need for Starbucks; I haven't had it in months and it's like my veins are drying up due to lack of flavor in my coffee, lol. SO, I was drinking me some coffee last night and there was this portion left of a candy cane sitting in front of my coffee pot.
So, I thought.....

............................Okay, I didn't really think. I just grabbed the candy cane, broke it in half and tossed it in my coffee. A little stir, wait a minute or two and TA-DA! Peppermint coffee!

I came up with this recipe, it's a little different than just tossing some broken pieces of peppermint in your coffee cup; it's got a little kick. I assure you that this recipe is SOLELY homemade and it is easy. I hate it when someone posts a recipe that says,

"Easiest Homemade *insert food/drink here*! You can use very little ingredients to make the best recipes!"

And then you start to read the ingredients of the recipe off and is as follows (like everyone has these ingredients just LYING around their kitchen):

3 tablespoons powdered baking cocoa (I used Ghirardelli-sweet ground chocolate and cocoa powder)
3 tablespoons warm water
1 1/2 tablespoons peppermint syrup (do not use extract- you can buy a very large bottle of syrup at Starbucks for $7) or creme de menthe
4 ounces espresso (see note below on how to make if you are unfamiliar)
12 ounces steamed milk (I use Fat Free)
whipped cream
red sugar crystals

I found this recipe ....somewhere on http://www.google.com/, lol.
and I was like....I can't make this!! I think I have ONE ingredient and that's the 3 tablespoons of warm water! LOL!

Here is MY easy recipe:
(and if don't have any of these ingredients, especially around the holidays, you're crap out of luck mister, lol)

*Note!
These ingredients really depend on how you fix your usual pot of coffee...but I'm going to post mine. I have a Cuisinart coffee pot (trust me, I prefer Bunn, but this was a gift and it does fine) and it came with a little (I'm guessing) tablespoon? scooper for the coffee. So that's how I measure out my coffee. Alright! Off with the recipe!

Ingredients!

5 tablespoons of (your) coffee and equal parts water (your usual pot of coffee)
1 or 2 crushed candy canes
a small handful of chocolate chips (don't you just love my ways of measuring?) or any kind of chocolate will do the same. I'll say about 10-12 choc. chips.
Optional: Cream or sugar for the taste; I prefer both. :)
Another Optional: a teaspoon of vanilla, it helps with the flavor.

Directions!

Prepare your usual pot of coffee and pour in the desired amount of crushed peppermint in WITH the coffee grounds. I left some of the crushed peppermint out so I could sprinkle some in my coffee after it was done brewing for extra flavor (I'm all about the flavor baby).
Proceed with brewing your pot of coffee.
Meanwhile, throw some chocolate chips (if you want) in your coffee cup with your desired cream and/or sugar and wait for the coffee to be done.
Pour coffee in the cup, stir until all of the chocolate is melted

OR, (I didn't think of this until RIGHT then) if you want, melt the chocolate by itself have to add that detail in there; some people misunderstand sometimes) and set off to the side. THEN, with your desired cream and/or sugar, pour coffee in your cup and stir until the cream/sugar is dissolved, THEN add your chocolate syrup in the coffee and stir until blended.

5. For added flavor, add the teaspoon of vanilla and stir.

Drink up boyyyyyyyiiiesssss! ......or girls.

I LOVE this necklace! I truly love the combination of colors turquoise and brown, especially in jewelry. Turquoise is one of the most amazing colors, along with Aqua, that I've ever laid my eyes on. Bulky bracelets are great with really thin clothes, or really "punk" outfits; I would personally wear them with anything, but that's just me. I would soooooooooooooooo buy this if I had the money along with the rest of the jewelry I have picked out on here...I'm just on a jewelry vibe here lately, it's starting to take over my mind, ahhhh! Lol.

Muddy Buddies!

I was craving something.....something, sweet.
As you may know, me and my husband are running low on funds this month and we having exactly got a lot of food in the house. But since I get WIC, I have GREAT amounts of Chex and JIF. With that, some leftover Halloween candy, butter and powdered sugar, this could be a tasty treat, lol.

So here is MY recipe:

*Ignore the cheat code for Sims2 at the very top of the page, lol.*

I was kinda in a hurry so I just made the recipe a short version of what the website said.

If you can't read my cuuhhhrazzy handwriting this is the TYPED recipe:

Chex Muddy Buddies

9 cups cereal (any Chex)
1 cup chocolate
1/2 cup PB (peanut butter for you outcasts)
1/4 cup butter
MY powdered sugar

Why MY powdered sugar? Because I had to improvise and make my own. It didn't exactly come out as powder, but it was powder-like, lol.
What I done was mix 1 cup sugar and 2 TBSP of cornstarch. Put it all in a Ziploc bag and make there is no air in the bag; it makes it easier to grind the sugar down. Get a coffee cup and grind the sugar down as much as possible; with my patience, it didn't go too far. OR! You can use a coffee bean grinder or food processor with smaller amounts of the sugar mixture; this is probably much easier than my pathetic method, lol. As I said, it turned out okay; not exactly powder. But it still worked very well for the flavor.

By the way, I didn't have enough "powdered sugar" for all of the cereal so I had one batch of sugar coated and one with none, both taste quite good, especially with a good cup of coffee =)

Directions!

In a separate bowl, pour the cereal and set aside.
In a Ziploc bag, a good one now (lol), pour in the powdered sugar and set aside.
In another bowl, mix the chocolate, peanut butter and butter. Microwave for 1 minute or until the mixture is smooth. Now MY mixture turned out to taste and smell like PB but chocolate took the color; a little FYI. Pour the mixture over the cereal and mix until all of the cereal is coated, set aside and let cool for about 5 minutes. After cooling, pour the cereal mixture into the Ziploc bag with the powdered sugar and shake it like Shake-n-Bake, or until all of the cereal is coated with powdered sugar. Put in a seal-tight container, OR if you're like me, leave it in the Ziploc bag and place in freezer for a few hours. Or you can eat it as-is.

New Discoveries!

So, me and my husband were starting to get a little hungry and I decided that I would TRY to cook arroz con pollo...and some dark red kidney beans, lol. I also wanted to fix me some homemade broccoli and cauliflower with rice and cheese. And on top of that, I just was like, "Hey, here's some scalloped potatoes...from the box"

Come to discover that I CANNOT cook Arroz con Pollo and some dark red kidney beans ORRRR homemade broccoli and cauliflower with rice and cheese.

but hey, the scalloped potatoes came out pretty good.

My husband seemed to like the Arroz con pollo + beans pretty good, but I didn't think that they had enough flavor. I will master that dish one of these days.

Sad part is, my husband is gone to get us some burgers from Wendy's.

This makes me feel like such a terrible cook, but oh well.

I am on the verge of screaming.
I just figured up yesterday, that we are only going to have around $250.00 to do our Christmas shopping. That's not much when you have a huge family that you want to give the whole world to for Christmas.
I've been trying to figure out what to get our daughter and it's almost impossible whenever the child already has the things that you wished for...besides diapers. She's almost 3 months old for Christ sake, what do you do?
My husband wants 76563981243 things, I'm aware of this; no joke.....he's probably told me around ten things that we wants for Christmas and I can only think of three that he's really told me. So sad on my part. Me? For Christmas? Who knows.

I need ideas to my many dilemmas.

O' Christmas Tree, Pt. 2

These are more pictures from the O' Christmas Tree, O' Christmas Tree! post from earlier today. These are mostly just some snapshots of some ornaments and other random pictures that David or I took in the process.

(PIC1) David took a trip to the Dollar Store the other day because I need two cans of Rotel diced tomatoes for chili. He came back with the cans of tomatoes, a pack of gum and a box of candy canes. I think he ate about four or five of the candy canes; it was his idea to put them on the tree, lol.
(PIC2) Our lines of homemade gingerbread men ornaments. They were made last year and my mom gave us three; one for me, David and Hailey. From L to R, here's whose gingerbread man is which: Me (the bald one), Hailey (one with very little hair) and David (the one with the most hair). I'll have a post sometime soon about the recipe for these handmade ornaments, :).
(PIC3) David was entertaining Hailey because I was busy putting the ornaments on the tree, but whenever I saw her smiling at him dancing, I had to take a picture. Quite priceless, I must say.

(PIC4) The finished product! Not a very good picture because the sun is shining behind it, I'll have more posted on here later whenever it gets dark. Pictures will be much better then.

O' Christmas Tree, O' Christmas Tree!

I have been spoiled all of my life with a real christmas tree. My mom and dad have always went out of their way to get the perfect real tree for Christmas. So I determined, this is the first Christmas in our own place and it's Hailey's first Christmas, so let's get a real Christmas tree. Well, David's job sucks, soooooooooooooo, we're broke and don't have enough money to buy a real tree. So my sister had an extra fake tree that we could have; it's only six feet tall, but it's better than nothing. We had been waiting for about a week on this tree and my sister shows up at my door last night with a long box with a tree in it! WOOT! Lol, I was excited; I love Christmas yo.

Here are some pictures, not good ones, of our decorating of our first and very most, fake tree.

PIC1) David was putting the lights on the tree...okay, more like throwing them on the tree. It was killing me like crazy how he was putting the lights on the tree. It was like he was just wrapping it around the tree like a ribbon. I was like, "OMGAH!!" It was like I had OCD with organized Christmas lights, lol. (PIC2) I was already fed up arguing with David about how the lights looked, so I just went ahead and started putting the ornaments on the tree, WHICH, were also given to us by my sister. Her and my mommy gave us all kinds of stuff for our tree and just things to decorate the house with.
Still putting ornaments on the tree; David obviously doesn't know how to operate a camera. Goes to show how tall the tree is; I'm only 4'11" myself, lol. (PIC3, bottom right) After the tree was finished being decorated, I decided to take some random snapshots of the tree at some perspective angles w/o flash. For what reason I decided to use flash on any other picture, I have no idea. But I have to remember that my husband took the rest of the pictures, soooo yeah.

A perspective photograph from the back of the tree (right). You can definitely tell that we don't care what the back of the tree looks like, lol. Lights thrown all over the place; I didn't really see the way that the back of the tree looked until I started taking pictures, haha. Which, it really makes sense; nobody is going to be looking at the back of the tree, am I right?

All I Want For Christmas is.....

I've been browsing around this morning on google and...eBay (lol) on somethings that I think that I want for Christmas. Not that anyone is going to have the money to get me these things, but it doesn't hurt to want now does it?

Here's my list!:

1). Abercrombie and Fitch Mary Tote Purse (below)
--I'm not a big A&F fan over ANYTHING because I feel that their stuff is way overpriced, but I really like this purse, and plus, I really need a new one.

2). Aeropostale Solid Puffer Jacket (below)
--Or at least something that looks like it, lol. You have to ignore the fact that it's the puffer vest and not the jacket. I couldn't find a descent size picture of the jacket. So just imagine this vest with SLEEVES! Tada! The jacket! lol.

3). Roller Coaster Tycoon 3 & 4). Sims 3
---I own Sims 2 and a couple of expansions, so yeah. I'm a sucker for awesome computer games. (RCT3)--I don't have the other two games...but I've played the first one and I LOVED it! As a matter of fact, I'm downloading the demo right now, lol!

These are the only things I can really think of right now. I bet my husband is probably going to kill me because he can't get out of me what I want for Christmas, yet, I am able to type it out to a computer screen, lol!

Sad, Sad Christmas Lights

Yesterday, Iwas rummaging around on google trying to keep myself from going insane from boredom when I typed in "Christmas light displays". Just when I was about to click on the "Images" tab, a link caught my eye.

The title said, "Welcome to Ugly Christmas Lights.com!".
I thought it was a hoax actually, but I decided that I would check it out anyway.

People, let me tell you, this could possibly be the greatest website...EVER.

There were a lot of people who responded "differently" that I did; I laughed my BUTT OFFAFAH, lol.
Here are some of the few that I really enjoyed:

Quite a bit of people overreacted about the whole site, why? I have no clue. Well, I guess they felt offended because they were making fun of other peoples' "hard work". There may have been about three people who were a good sport, including me.
There are TONS more on the site, but sadly, I didn't get the chance to look at them all due to my daughter fighting sleep.

Not a "real" blog...

Exactly as the title says it.
This is more of an update of things to come.

As I said in my last blog, I love Christmas.
So, I think that I'm going to dedicate my blog to Christmas until December 31, 2009. I'm going to change the whole look, sounds and tone of my blog JUST for Christmas. Each post with have SOMETHING to deal with Christmas. Mostly Christmas Music and light displays. Whenever I go out around town, I'm gonna try to take some pictures of displays that I think are worthy enough for me to photograph, lol. Music, pretty much speaks for itself, I believe.

But, anywayyyyyyyyy.
I'm off to dedicate my blog to Christmas.
No topic for today, but do enjoy what songs I DO have on my Christmas Music Playlist.
If you still have any suggestions, let me know children! I'd love to hear something different other than my own opinions on music.

Christmas Times' a Comin'!

It's the day after Thanksgiving and I am ready to put up my Christmas tree. YES! Christmas is on it's way, by God, and boy am I excited! :D I love the lights; all the colors that you pass as you drive down the road, some nice to look at, some are rather not. I saw some NEON blue lights last night on the way home from my mommy's house and I thought that I had been blinded! That's not a color of lights you put outside for someone to look at and then wreck their car in the process; inside, ehhh, maybe. But, none-the-less, I love to look at Christmas lights, whether they are on a tree or hanging outside from the roof of someone's home. Something that I love more than Christmas lights, is the music.

Music, for one, is pretty much my life.
Well, it was for many years. Now that I am married and I have a daughter, they are my life. But, I still L-O-V-E music and nothing can stop that.

ANYWAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY.......

I am in the process of making a list of Christmas songs/jingles by different artists so I can listen to it until after Christmas. I'm use to listening to it off of the television at my mom's house, but we have no TV, so music from my iPod will have to do. :)

I've been painting, sketching and drawing for many years now; 6 years to be exact. I also find photography as a well known art, I absolutely love photography; it's rather greattt. Here are some well adored paintings, sketches, and photos that I've done:

Black Pens & coloring pencils:May, 2007

Just a wide genre kinda gives you an idea of what I usually do. I love bright colors, especially whenever I paint. I prefer Oil Paints because they blend and look so much better than any other type of paint. Great stuff, ya know? Perspective photography, landscaping, or just anything that I think needs to be photographed, then by God...it's going to be shot! Lol. I don't sketch that much anymore because I simply don't have the time and the only reason why I have the watercolor painting from July/August is because I was pregnant and I had nothing else better to do. I have quite a few of my paintings hanging up in my daughter's nursery. One in particular is one that my husband claims as his own because he loves it so much but stupid photo uploader wouldn't upload the photo, so screw you photo uploader!

I would've had all of these posted earlier but my daughter is teething and her screaming spells overpower updating a blog of mine. Need do I mind you that she is only 2 1/2 months old and she's teething, ugh. I can already see her teeth coming in, which is the sad part. But oh well, I'll do what I have to make her happy. :)

Down with the Sickness

*Sigh* Sadly enough, I've tried keeping my family away from the sickies that are the coughing, sneezing, and snotting people lurking all over the place. It's just my luck that I go to the Gynecologist's office for a check up and there's a man in there coughing up every organ in his body. I felt so disgusted just sitting ALL the way across the room from him. It's bad enough I had to walk by him whenever my name was called. I'm sorry, if you've got, what sounds like, the plague...keep that nastiness at home or at least march yourself to the doctor, PLEASE. For the sake of us all, at least stay outside in your car or something, jeez. And now my husband seems to think that he's getting sick, so whoopee-do. I told him that if he didn't take any medicine and he got our daughter sick that I was going to kick his ass, lol. How can you say no to the gorgeous-ness that is my daughter? Heh? My little girl hasn't gotten sick yet *Knock on wood*, and I plan to keep it that way. Whenever she does actually get sick, I'm gonna feel so bad because I'll feel like such a failure, but ahhh, she's got to build up her immune system somehow, right?

It's really sad because, I had to take Hailey (my daughter's name) to get her 2 month check-up/shots and the Pediatrician's office that I go to had signs saying, "If you have Flu symptoms, please grab a mask". And then you'll see five to ten small children sitting with their parents with masks on, like they are some kind of outcast or something, which I could understand the masks, but what's a little thick paper mask going to do for a spreadable illness such as the Flu? My Pediatrician's office has a well child's/newborn room and then there's the biggest room for all the other patients (sick children). I understand what they're trying to do and all, and it might help a lot with the spreading of the sickness floating around in the other room, but you have to think; You have to go through the sick children's room to come through the entrance that leads to the well children/newborn's room. So some of the particles that are in the air in the sick children's room is going to go into the well kids room, so there's pretty much no point in that. There was an older woman sitting next to me that day and she said the exact same thing that I just said and she also added, which makes complete sense, that they should build another entrance, a seperate one, that goes into the well childrens' room instead of having to go through all the sicky kids to get to it. If people were smarter and used more common sense than they do, this world just might be a better place, illness wise.
Conclusion:
KEEP YOUR SICK ASS AT HOME.

Adam Lambert's AMA performance

I, myself, have not seen this performance that everyone is talking about.
I've heard so many bad things about it; some were disgusted...okay MOST were. I don't think that I've heard many positive things about this performance.

I'm going to look up the video for the AMA awards after I post this, so I guess I'll know what the fuss is about afterwards.
